The ERP Financial Consultant will work with our clients to implement ERP software and industry standard processes with the aim of meeting regulatory and GAAP standards, reducing costs, and increasing business efficiency. The Consultant will develop ongoing business relationships with client finance leaders and will provide clients with recommendations on best practices for their business as well as within the ERP tools. The Consultant has a leadership role in consulting engagements and assumes responsibility for performing implementation tasks, documenting requirements, and producing quality deliverables. The Consultant along with the Project Manager drive implementation deliverables and organizes and controls tasks within the work plan. This role will be the leader of the finance integrated project team (IPT), assist in pre-engagement planning, and defining consulting practices. As a senior team member, this role works with clients on an independent basis and may supervise or mentor other functional consulting staff.

Responsibilities

  • Enable Project Manager by determining direction, timelines, schedules, and activities for finance related areas of the project.
  • Provide regular internal reports on the status of projects
  • Assist the realization of business benefits for clients
  • Participate in full life cycle client facing implementation projects relating to ERP applications, working as part of an Integrated Project Team
  • Lead information gathering and design process for a client implementation, including the development of functional business requirements and solution scope documents
  • Configure a client business solution
  • Develop and execute test plans and test software configurations
  • Provide training to clients’ key and end users
  • Provide implementation consultancy and application best practice advice
  • Participate in product functionality briefings and training sessions

Basic Qualifications

  • Finance experience in at least one industry segment: Aviation & Defense, Equipment Maintenance, Distribution and Manufacturing.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ project experience ERP implementations with a Finance focus
  • Full lifecycle implementation experience implementing ERP systems, with a Finance focus
  • The Finance Consultant will have an in depth understanding of Finance business processes including:
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Fixed assets
    • Costing
    • Consulting experience
    • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel throughout North America (US and Canada) – approx. 30% travel
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Formal customer facing consulting experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tier1 (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) or Tier2 (Infor, Epicor, IFS, etc.) ERP applications
  • Security Clearance not required but a plus
